A recent press statement from Samsung debunks any rumors according to which it might be selling its NX camera technology to Nikon. The press statement comes as a response to various news outlets making these claims, and those in turn come as a result from Samsung shutting down its camcorder business in the UK. It has also decided not to compete in Germany's camera market anymore though this isn't a guarantee that there's no future for this branch.
Samsung hasn't announced a an NX camera since February this year but this is no big surprise considering that it is trying to cut costs where it can. Right now it seems that they are focusing on the smartphone division but they are probably not killing off their camera branch entirely. We should be seeing some interesting announcements at CES next year in all departments.
