Samsung Electronics today announced its annual structural reorganization to “pre-emptively respond to business uncertainties,” while keeping its three core divisions that include IT & Mobile Communications, Consumer Electronics and Device Solutions intact. The company has appointed Byungsam Suh as the new Head of the Digital Appliances Business as well as Injong Rhee and Tae Moon Roh as the new heads of Hardware R&D, Mobile Communications Business.
As reported earlier today Samsung has also established an automotive components team that's going to initially focus on infotainment and autonomous driving technologies, this team will be headed by executive vice president Jonghwan Park and overseen by Oh-Hyun Kwon, the vice chairman and CEO. Samsung is also setting up online operations teams in Southwest Asia and Korea, it's also going to create dedicated online organizations within core business units. The company has also made several new executive appointments across these core businesses.
