Samsung announced its new Smart View TV app today, planning a full release in early 2016 for all its TVs but only available today on a select few models. Samsung’s new Smart View app differs from the old in that Samsung has added Android, iOS, and even Windows device compatibility to the app so that more mobile devices can transfer content to its own Smart TVs. Not only can you beam content to your Samsung Smart TV, but you can also surf the Web while using your phone and the Smart View app to place a movie on the big screen (both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, however). The new Smart View app will also work with Samsung’s entire 2016 Smart TV lineup, so no worries for folks looking for a new TV in the new year.

The new Samsung Smart View TV app will also allow you to create playlists for music, photos, and videos so that it is even more useful for multimedia and not just TV shows and movies. The new Samsung Smart View TV app works with iOS devices running iOS 7, 8, and 9 and Android devices running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher.

Depending on the device you intend to use (Android, iOS, or Windows), you’ll need to head over to either the 1) Google Play Store, 2) App Store, or www.samsung.com/smartview (for Windows devices) to access the app. After downloading, just choose the TV on which to play your content and you’re all set.

Check the link below to see if your TV qualifies for the beta mode.
