It was only a few days ago that Samsung detailed its December security update for Android handsets, carriers in the United States have started rolling out the said firmware update to supported devices. Today Verizon has released the December security update for the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 on its network, T-Mobile sent out this update on its network just yesterday.
The carrier is rolling out software version LMY47X.N920VVRU2OJ3 for the Galaxy Note 5 and software version LMY47X.G928VVRU2AOJ3 for the Galaxy S6 edge+. There's not much to the changelog since the update doesn't bring only new features, it only includes the “most up to date Android security patch.” Users would rather get the Marshmallow update now since it has been a few months since Google released it but so far Samsung has not confirmed when it will roll out Android 6.0, a rumored roadmap has been leaked online today but there's no saying whether that's a timeline that Samsung is going to stick to.
