Samsung acquired IoT device maker SmartThings last year and the company has since released several new products. Recently it introduced the SmartThings Home Monitoring Kit which features a Hub with compatible accessories. The regular retail price of this kit is $249 but SmartThings is currently offering it at a 20% discount.
The SmartThings Home Monitoring Kit is billed as the easiest way to transform your home into a smart home. It features a Hub that connects with smart sensors, lights, locks, cameras and more. The kit has two multipurpose sensors to monitor which doors, windows or cabinets are opened. There's also a motion sensor to monitor movement inside the home and an outlet to control lights, small appliances and electronics. Combined, the gadgets and gizmos enable users to monitor and secure their home affordably and even get immediate alerts if there's unexpected entry or motion in the home. The SmartThings Home Monitoring Kit normally retails for $249 but in honor or Presidents Day it's offering it for just $199 until February 20.
