One of the main issues with Samsung’s latest smartwatch, the Gear S2, is its rubberized Sports bands breakage vulnerability. Fastening the watch too tightly or switching out the bands frequently for a new look can cause the rubber strap and attachment pins to disengage from each other, making it impossible to reconnect the original band to the watch. However, an internal document has emerged stating that the South Korean company is now issuing replacement straps to customers.
It’s important to bear in mind that not everyone with a broken band will qualify for a replacement, though. It’s only those whose straps have ruptured as a result of the holder being torn when the band was removed or when the rubber strap and pin connector were separated due to every-day use, such as removing the watch from your wrist and frequently loosening and fastening it.
