The online edition of Forbes magazine has reported that Samsung Electronics has been voted the third-most reputable company operating in the United States. The online publication revealed yesterday that the South Korean company pulled in a very respectable score of 84.4 points in the list of the “100 Most Reputable Companies” in the US in a consumer survey organized and carried out by consulting company Reputation Institute (RI). Amazon topped the chart for the third year running with 85.4 points, followed by Hallmark Cards with a rating of 85.1 points.
Samsung ranked as the most reputable firm in the technology industry for its efforts in Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), which, put plainly, is its commitment as a business to behave ethically and contribute to the economic development of the countries it operates in, while simultaneously improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as the local community and society.
