The Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge have been very successful so far. One estimate suggests that the handsets have collectively sold 9 million units in the first month alone, which is a significant surge compared to the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge which only sold a little more than 3 million units in the same period last year.
The demand and the success for the flagships have been attributed to the handsets' lower price tag as well, so it's clear that Samsung has done its homework before bringing the flagships to the market. Unlike last year, the company has increased demand projections for the edge model, which is undoubtedly the more popular variant of the two.
All these factors have prompted the analysts to predict that Samsung might release the Galaxy Note 6 much before the Apple iPhone 7. A recent report mentioned that the Galaxy Note 6 would be launched by July instead of August, thus beating Apple to the punch. However, we must realize that this is merely a speculative report from the analysts and not a confirmation from Samsung. As it stands, we can expect the Galaxy Note 6 to be launched no sooner than August 2016. Our sources have mentioned that there is currently no firmware being developed for the Galaxy Note 6, which effectively rules out the possibility of an early release at this point.
