AT&T is in the midst of rolling out this month’s security maintenance update to all its carrier-branded variants of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. In addition to Google’s patches, the upgrade, which weighs in at approximately 173MB, also transports enhancements for the palm rejection functionality that ships on board the latter handset; meaning that users should no longer find themselves accidentally tapping icons when their hand is wrapped around the curved display.
If you own either a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge operating on AT&T and would like to see if the upgrade is ready for your device, simply head into Settings, followed by About Device, locate and select Software Update, then hit the Update Now button. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive a push notification prompting you to download and install the update from Samsung’s servers.
