North America's largest carrier is bringing Marshmallow to Samsung's 2014 Galaxy S flagship today. Android 6.0.1 is making its way to the Galaxy S5 on Verizon, following the T-Mobile variant which received the major upgrade a week ago. The update carries firmware version G900VVRU2DPD1, with Wi-Fi calling, Ultra High-Quality Audio, new app icons and regular Marshmallow features (Doze, Google Now on Tap, better control over permissions for apps) a part of the package.
You should be seeing the update arrive on your Galaxy S5 sometime over the course of the week. Quite a few lucky folks should be getting Marshmallow today itself; those that can't wait can try hitting the Check now button in the Settings » About device » Software update menu. Let us know what you think of the latest version of Android once you get it installed on your phone!
