Samsung today released a new film called “The Chant,” featuring South Sudanese athlete Margret Rumat Rumat Hassan (400-Meter Runner, South Sudan), who is hoping to compete under her country's flag at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. This is going to be the first time ever that South Sudan sends a team to the Olympic Games that will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil later this year.
The film showcases Samsung's continuing support of the pioneering spirit, highlighting perseverance, and the will to fight against the odds. It introduces the world to another powerful story of defying barriers. The film follows Margret through her village and into the stadium as she competes for the ultimate spot on the global stage. Since it's a Samsung film, after all, don't be surprised when you see the company's products like the Galaxy S7 edge and the Gear IconX in it. Samsung previously released a short film called “A Fighting Chance” which brought us the untold stories of four Olympic Games hopefuls who are working hard to achieve their dream of winning an Olympic medal.
Samsung Electronics is the Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment category.
