A recently discovered patent filing from Samsung shows that the company has been working on new wireless charger designs. Samsung has illustrated three stylish wireless chargers in its patents and the illustrations suggest that they will look much better than the company's current flat and disc-like wireless chargers. All three designs are taller which means they will be able to wirelessly charge a smartphone and a smartwatch simultaneously.
The patent mentions that this charger could be used to charge devices like cameras, electronic glasses, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and other wearable devices. Samsung filed for this patent earlier this year in January and it was recently published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. It's unclear when this new wireless charger could hit the market but considering that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy Note 7 on August 2, it would make perfect sense for the company to introduce a new wireless charger with its new flagship smartphone.
