Recent reports have revealed that Samsung is seeing high demand for the Galaxy Note 7. The handset is available for pre-order in several markets across the globe and it appears that supply constraints are forcing the company to manage the release schedule. Just yesterday Samsung Malaysia confirmed that the launch was being delayed in the country due to supply issues and that the handset will now be released at some point in September. Samsung Netherlands has made a similar announcement today.
It confirmed via Twitter that due to high demand for the Galaxy Note 7 the release is being delayed by one week. The Galaxy Note 7 was previously supposed to be released on September 2 but it will now hit shelves on September 9. It's interesting to note that pre-orders for the handset haven't even been opened in The Netherlands so Samsung couldn't have sold out of its initial quota and yet it's having to manage the release by bumping back the entire country by a week. That's certainly not going to sit well with consumers who are yet to get over the fact that Samsung didn't prioritize Europe for the Galaxy Note 5 as well.
