Samsung awarded contract to manufacture NVIDIA’s next-generation GPUs

According to a new report published by South Korea's Chosun Biz newspaper, Samsung has been awarded a contract manufacturing order to produce NVIDIA's latest range of GPU products. Unfortunately, the publication was unable to specify the value of the order.

However, it was able to deduce that the next-generation GPUs will be manufactured using Samsung's revolutionary 14-nanometre process. Operations are expected to commence before the end of this year, with products hitting the shelves within the first quarter of 2017.
