Samsung has today kicked off a new competition which is specifically aimed at developers who have created a game using Unity that has attracted more than 10,000 installations via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. There's a total of $185,000 up for grabs as part of this challenge. However, it won't all go to one winner. Instead, it will divided between fifty people with three of them receiving an additional prize if their game reaches the highest number of downloads during the contest period.

To be in with a chance of winning, developers will need port their existing Unity-based game to Tizen, then start selling it in the Tizen Store. The first fifty people to enter will receive an ‘Early Bird' prize of $3,000. Samsung will then dish out ‘top prizes' to the three participants whose games managed to reach the highest number of downloads out of all of the competition entries, in the amount of $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.
