Samsung unveiled an unorthodox refrigerator at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. The refrigerator is called Family Hub and it's unlike anything we've ever seen before because it has a massive 21.5-inch touchscreen display. Family Hub was first released in the United States and it has slowly been released in other markets. Samsung has now made the Family Hub refrigerator available for purchase in the United Kingdom.
The refrigerator's 21.5-inch Full HD touchscreen display provides more functionality than you can ever hope to get from such an appliance. It can be used as an interactive whiteboard where the family can share photos, calendars, notes and doodles. It also has an online shopping app through which users can place orders for groceries. Family Hub will soon have access to Samsung Pay in South Korea as well. Samsung's Family Hub refrigerator is available from John Lewis, AO.com and Currys in the United Kingdom. You can be sure that it's going to cost a pretty penny, it was priced at $5,600 in the United States. The full-sized version costs £4,499.99 while the single-door fridge freezer version costs £3,000.
