Samsung is now in the midst of pushing out this month's security patch to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in Europe. The upgrade has already started reaching factory unlocked models of the handsets in Italy and is expected to branch into other countries over the course of the next week.
As outlined in the changelog that was posted on Samsung's official Mobile Security Blog yesterday, the November release bundles dozens of patches for Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) in the Android Operating System (OS), as well as fixes for a total of 14 specific bugs in the firm's mobile devices.
Just like all other Security Maintenance Releases, this one's being pushed out in stages. If you'd like to see if the OTA is ready for your unit, head into Settings » About Device » Download Updates Manually. Alternatively, you can always wait until you receive a notification prompting you to upgrade.
Thanks, Henk!
