Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ Nougat update now available for download

Last updated: March 22nd, 2017 at 17:37 UTC+01:00

We started receiving reports yesterday that the Galaxy S6 edge+ was receiving Android 7.0 Nougat in Turkey. It appeared that Samsung Turkey's Nougat release roadmap was right once again. The company sent out firmware G928CXXU3CQC7 to Galaxy S6 edge+ owners in Turkey which is the same firmware that it also released for the Galaxy Note 5 last week.

Just because Samsung has started rolling out this update in one market doesn't mean it's immediately going to become available everywhere else. It will take a considerable amount of time before Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S6 edge+ goes live in all markets.

We now have the Galaxy S6 edge+ Nougat update available in our firmware section, you can head over there and download the file now if you have the relevant model. We will continue to update the list as the firmware goes live in additional regions across the globe.

Reports have been limited so far which is why it was previously mentioned that it's going to take some time before Nougat is out for all Galaxy S6 edge+ users.
