Samsung has already started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 and in other markets across the globe and it's now doing the same in its home country of South Korea. Customers in the country can start placing their pre-orders for the new flagship from today. Samsung has also confirmed the pricing details.
The 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 can be pre-ordered for 935,000 won or $826 but mobile carriers are providing discounts which bring the price down a bit. The discounts are said to be of the same value that was applied to the Galaxy S7 last year. All pre-order customers will receive a Bluetooth speaker worth 99,000 won as a gift.
Samsung has previously confirmed that it's going to release the Galaxy S8 on April 21, however, according to reports it's looking to ship the units to pre-order customers by April 18. It's accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 until April 17.
Samsung is also going to sell the much-rumored 6GB Galaxy S8+ in South Korea. It can be pre-ordered until April 17 as well. Available only in Midnight Black, this variant features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It's priced at 1,155,000 won or $1,032.
