Samsung's 2017 iterations of the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are very close to an official reveal, as evident from recent leaks and the fact that the handsets have been certified by the FCC. We've seen a couple of images of the handsets before and seen their specs, and newly leaked images are giving us another look at Samsung's upcoming metal-clad budget phones.
The Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) look similar to Samsung's Galaxy A lineup for 2017. Like the Galaxy J7 Prime, both handsets will have a metal unibody, with a new U-shaped pattern at the back to differentiate it from phones like the Galaxy C7 Pro and the aforementioned A (2017) lineup. As far as the specs are concerned, the highlights will include Android 7.0 Nougat, 13-megapixel front-facing cameras with an LED flash, and fingerprint sensors. The J7 will also get a Full HD display for all markets, instead of having it exclusive to China.
