Samsung rolled out Bixby globally yesterday. Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners in more than 200 countries across the globe can now finally use Bixby Voice. The assistant only has support for English (US) and Korean languages right now. Samsung has said that it will add support for more languages down the road.
The company has also confirmed during its Galaxy Note 8 event today that Bixby is going to get support for Spotify later this year. This will enable the assistant to stream music from the world's most popular music streaming service in response to voice commands.
Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 users will then be able to stream music from Spotify by just asking Bixby to play music from a particular artist. The full list of voice commands that will work with Spotify will be revealed later.
Samsung is going to talk more about Bixby at its upcoming developers' conference in October. The company said that Bixby will get support for Spotify playback by then so hands-free Spotify streaming via Bixby is just a couple of months away.
