Samsung has started shipping the stylus-toting Galaxy Note 8 to the first wave of customers who pre-ordered a unit in India when reservations opened last week. The handset, which is priced at Rs. 67,900 ($1,050) in the region, comes with a free Convertible Wireless Charger and a coupon for a one-time screen replacement.
In addition, the firm has teamed up with HDFC Bank to offer customers who reserved the Galaxy Note 8 using one of its credit cards INR 4,000 ($62) cashback. Reliance Jio customers can also score themselves up to 448GB of additional 4G LTE data, spread evenly over the next eight months, as well as a Jio Prime membership.

“Galaxy Note8 with its stunning Infinity Display, enhanced S Pen and a true Dual Camera, is designed for those who want to do bigger things,” said Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India. “At Samsung, we listen to our consumers and bring in meaningful innovations that help make their lives better.”
Announced on August 23, the Galaxy Note 8 sports a stunning 6.3-inch edge-to-edge Infinity Display, an Exynos 8895 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 12MP dual-camera setup, an 8MP front-facing shooter and a 3,300mAh battery. It ships running Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but is scheduled to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Reservations for the Galaxy Note 8 close in India on September 22. The handset should reach all customers who placed a pre-order by the end of next week.
