Samsung has launched the world's largest Onyx Cinema LED screen in India. The 14 meter screen has been installed in Bengaluru's iconic Swagath Cinemas, which will be rechristened Swagath Onyx Theater. Academy Award winning musician and composer, and Harman's global ambassador, AR Rahman inaugurated the new theater.
Samsung has only two other 14 meter Onyx Cinema LED screens installed globally — those are in Malaysia and China. In total, the revolutionary cinema screens from Samsung are now available in 16 countries across the world.
World’s largest theater with an Onyx Cinema LED screen
At 618 seats, Swagath Onyx Theater is the world's largest theater with an Onyx Cinema LED screen. The theater, located on Bengaluru’s MG Road now boasts 4K resolution, HDR capabilities, and unprecedented brightness and contrast. Movie lovers will get true-to-life picture quality, colors and greater vibrancy and accuracy at the theater.
The sound system at Swagath Onyx Theater comprises of Onyx Sound, an innovative audio solution by Harman and Samsung’s Audio Lab. It includes Crown amplifiers, BSS signal processing, and JBL Professional cinema loudspeakers. Onyx screens are also 3D-ready.
