Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy Tab A8 (2019) LTE and the Galaxy Tab A8 with S Pen (2019) LTE in Taiwan on August 5, the same day when the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is scheduled for its unveiling. The company announced the details of the tablets’ pricing and availability in Taiwan this week, but the S Pen-enabled variant was launched in Thailand a few months back.
The Galaxy Tab A8 (2019) LTE in Taiwan will carry a suggested retail price of NT$ 5,490 ($176). Meanwhile, the variant paired with the S Pen should launch for NT$ 9,900 ($317). Both tablets have an 8-inch display but the cheaper model doesn’t come with an S Pen and has lower overall specifications

The non-S Pen model has thicker bezels and a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 429 chipset with four CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It includes a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack – something that is missing on the latest high-end Galaxy Tab S6 – and has Bluetooth 4.2 support. The tablet is powered by a 5,100mAh battery.
Galaxy Tab A8 with S Pen (2019) LTE quick overview
The more expensive Galaxy Tab A8 with S Pen, which is also known as the Galaxy Tab A Plus 8.0, has a screen resolution of 1920 by 1200. It relies on an Exynos 7885 chipset with a total of eight CPU cores split into dual-core and hexa-core clusters. It also has 3GB of RAM but shares the same storage configuration with 32GB of onboard memory expandable by up to 512GB. Likewise, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack but features Bluetooth 5.0 and conceals a 4,200mAh battery.
When and where
As stated before, the Galaxy Tab A8 (2019) LTE duo will hit the market in Taiwan on August 5. Customers will be able to purchase either one of these two tablets through various retail channels including Samsung’s Experience Store.
