With the number of leaks and rumors preceding the actual Galaxy Watch Active 2 announcement, it’s surprising to learn of a new feature that managed to fly under the radar up to this point. And without further ado, this new addition to Samsung's latest wearable is the ability to play YouTube videos.
This feature has so far been confirmed by a couple of websites including The Verge and Engadget. Now, whether or not you would need to watch videos from your wrist on a small circular display is debatable, and to be honest, it might not be the most exciting change to remain unspoiled by all of the leaks and rumors. The feature is there nonetheless, and even if it probably isn't too practical, I suppose it might give some users a bit of a Bond feeling or a bit of leverage when asking other people “can your smartwatch do this?”
But being able to watch YouTube videos on the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is not the only new feature added to Samsung’s latest wearable. An ECG sensor is also present, although it will be activated later down the line once it will be approved by the FDA. Other fitness-related sensors have been improved as well.
The Watch Active 2 brings back the bezel functionality, albeit in software/virtual form through the touchscreen itself. Is it a proper replacement of the physical bezel?
