Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A51 and A71 mid-range smartphones today. As the model names suggest, these are successors to the Galaxy A50 and A70, respectively. Though the Galaxy A71 is the better device of the two in the specs department, it also comes at a higher price. This makes the choice between the two models tricky for potential buyers.

As you can see from the specs comparison below, the Galaxy A71 has a bigger display, more RAM, higher base storage, higher-resolution primary camera, larger battery, and faster-wired charging than the A51. Although Samsung is yet to specify the chipset used in the A71, it will probably be faster than the one powering its cheaper sibling. For the A70, Samsung opted for a Snapdragon chipset, which made it a better performer than the Exynos-powered A50. The same may be the case with their successors as well.

Other than these differences, both the new devices are very similar. They even sport a similar design language and build quality. This makes the price the most important factor in determining which of the two models offer a better value for money. The Galaxy A51 is priced at around $350 in Vietnam, while the company is yet to reveal how much the A71 costs.

We will be reviewing both the devices in the coming weeks. Hopefully, by then will have the pricing details for the A71, which will make the comparison between the two a lot more helpful.
