It was about two months ago when we first heard that Samsung has an affordable variant of the Galaxy S10 in the pipeline. This device will reportedly be launched as the Galaxy S10 Lite. Recent reports have suggested that it will be out before the end of this year. So it could be unveiled in the coming days.

The Galaxy S10 Lite bears model number SM-G770F. No press renders of the device have been leaked online so far. However, a new report offers additional details about the specs of this device.

New information about the Galaxy S10 Lite specs surfaces

The often reliable WinFuture reports that the Galaxy S10 Lite is going to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2,400×1080 pixel resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Instead of an Exynos chip, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 in all regions with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will be possible to expand the storage up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The Galaxy S10 Lite's camera will give us much to talk about. It's said to feature a primary 48-megapixel f/2.0 sensor with tilt-OIS technology. The lens in front of the camera sensor tilts a few degrees in this optical image stabilization solution in addition to the usual displacement within the sensor to compensate for shaking.

Completing the camera system will be a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide lens and even a 5-megapixel f/2.4 macro lens. Samsung introduced the macro camera with the Galaxy A51 a few days back. Early camera samples look promising. A 32-megapixel f/2.2 camera will be present in the centered punch hole for selfies.

The Galaxy S10 Lite is also confirmed to feature a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. We exclusively revealed two months ago that the handset will be available in white, black and blue colors. It will be priced at 679 euro in Europe which is around $755. The handset will come with Android 10 out of the box with One UI 2.0.

Not only will this device have a larger display than the Galaxy S10e's 5.8-inch flat panel, it also has better cameras, more RAM and a significantly bigger battery. Yet the Galaxy S10e sells for 749 euro at full retail. Check the full Galaxy S10e specs for a better comparison of the two devices.

Samsung is reportedly going to unveil the Galaxy S10 Lite in the next few days. There's a Galaxy Note 10 Lite in the pipeline as well. Renders of this device were leaked this week, revealing it in all its glory. It's possible that both handsets may be made official on the same day.
