It was initially believed that Samsung's next Unpacked event for its upcoming flagship smartphones would take place on February 18. However, recent reports have suggested that the event may take place a week earlier.
A promo for the next Samsung Unpacked event has now been leaked online. It clearly shows that the company is going to unveil the new devices on February 11. The devices that will be unveiled include the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Fold 2.
Leaked promo confirms Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Fold 2 launch date
If reports are any indication, it's going to be quite an exciting event. Samsung is expected to unveil both the Galaxy S11, which some suggest is actually going to be called the Galaxy S20, and the clamshell Galaxy Fold. The promo itself hints at the possibility of two devices being launched, one of them clearly having the silhouette of a clamshell foldable.
Samsung may have moved back the back from February 18 so as to put more space between its event and the Mobile World Congress 2020, where many of its competitors will be launching new devices. An earlier launch allows Samsung to get maximum coverage for its new devices in the spotlight without any comparisons to other new devices.
Going by what we know about the Galaxy S11 so far, it's going to bring many meaningful improvements to the flagship series, particularly in the camera department. There's also a lot of excitement about the Galaxy Fold 2. It's expected to cost under $1000 which would make foldable smartphones attainable for a lot more people.
Samsung hasn't officially confirmed the time and venue of its next Unpacked event. It will likely take place in San Francisco. We'll definitely be on the ground in San Francisco to bring you all of the news from the event.
