Samsung started teasing the Galaxy M31 in India last week, and it looks like the mid-range smartphone will be launched in the country on February 25. The Galaxy M31 has now been listed on Samsung India's website as well as on Amazon.in, revealing a few important features of the phone.
The phone will feature a Super AMOLED screen with a U-shaped notch for the selfie camera. The South Korean smartphone giant has been increasing the battery capacity on its phones over the past year, and it looks like the Galaxy M31 will be powered by a 6000mAh battery. It appears to have a plastic body, going by the images.
At the rear, the upcoming device will have a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor. Going by the image of the camera layout, we expect the phone to have an ultrawide-angle camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera. The rear camera could feature 4K video recording, while the front-facing camera could sport 16MP resolution, similar to the Galaxy M30s.
According to benchmarks, it uses an Exynos 9611 processor and runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0. The Galaxy M31 features a rear-mounted capacitive fingerprint reader. The phone will come with at least 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, a dedicated microSD card slot, a USB Type-C port, and 15W fast charging. The phone will be available in three colors: black, blue, and red.
