The Galaxy Buds+ are now up for pre-order in India. Samsung has opened pre-bookings for its new wireless earbuds in the country through its official website. Like the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+, the Galaxy Buds+ will start shipping to customers in India from March 6. The price has been set at Rs 11,990 ($167), Rs. 2000 more than the launch price for the Galaxy Buds last year. The earbuds are available in blue, black, and white.
The Galaxy Buds+ were announced alongside the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Z Flip and offer a number of upgrades. The Buds+ offer double the battery life of the original Buds (11 hours on a single charge, 22 hours when combined with the case), improved call quality thanks to three microphones in each bud, and better sound quality thanks to dual drivers (each bud has a woofer and a tweeter). Those who had their fingers crossed for active noise cancellation will not be thrilled since Samsung decided not to offer that feature with its new earbuds.
That being said, the company has made some meaningful improvements to the earbuds. It has particularly addressed some of the pain points of the original Galaxy Buds, so it's certainly going to be a welcome change. We are currently working on a review of the Galaxy Buds+ and will soon be able to tell you if all those upgrades are worth the asking price. The review is going to be up in the next few days, so do stick around for that.
