Samsung USA is adding three new notebooks to its portfolio starting today, with prospective buyers now having the option to choose between the Galaxy Book Flex, Galaxy Book Ion, as well as the Galaxy Book Flex ⍺ (alpha).

The three notebooks have their landing pages up and running on Samsung USA's portal, but the online store pages are not yet live as of this writing. However, this should change by the end of the day, according to Samsung's official announcement.

Customers can pick one of two configurations for each model

The Galaxy Book Flex, Book Flex alpha, and Book Ion come in two different flavors, each. The Book Flex and Ion can be acquired with 13.3 or 15.6-inch displays, whereas the Book Flex alpha is available only with a 13.3-inch display which can be driven by either an Intel Core i5 or i7 10th Gen CPU.

Specifically, the Galaxy Book Ion comes with an Intel Core i7-10510U, the Book Flex sports an i7-1065G7 CPU, while the Galaxy Book Flex alpha can be equipped with an i5-10210U or i7-10510U CPU.

There are various other differences between these models. For example, only the Flex and Flex alpha have a convertible 2-in-1 design (hence the moniker) and a QLED touchscreen. On the other hand, the Galaxy Book Ion follows a more conventional notebook design lacking a 2-in-1 hinge and touchscreen capabilities. For a closer look at their specifications and how these notebooks differ from one another, check out Samsung's Compare page by hitting the link.

Samsung makes no mention of USA prices for the Galaxy Book Flex, Book Flex alpha, and Book Ion in its announcement, and since the store page is not yet live, this information is currently lacking. However, Samsung had previously revealed the Galaxy Book Flex alpha's expected price of $829.99, and it's safe to assume that the Book Flex and Ion have a higher entry price, since the Flex alpha was designed as a more budget alternative from the very beginning.
