It was nearly two months ago that Samsung confirmed it would be bringing the One UI 2.1 update to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9, and the company finally released the update last week, kicking things off with the Galaxy Note 9. The wait for One UI 2.1 hasn't yet ended for everyone, however. The Galaxy Note 9's One UI 2.1 update was released in Germany and Korea initially, and Samsung hasn't enabled a wider rollout for the update yet.

And it seems Samsung wants to take it slow, as it's been a week since One UI 2.1 started making its way to Galaxy Note 9 owners in Germany and Korea and it's only now that we're seeing another country getting the coveted update.

Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.1 update available in India

Samsung started rolling out the One UI 2.1 update for the Note 9 in India earlier today. Owners of the device can download it over the air by opening their phone's Settings app, selecting Software update, and tapping Download and install. The One UI 2.1 firmware for India is also available in our firmware archive and can be used to manually update the phone with the help of a Windows PC.

As you would expect, the Indian release of One UI 2.1 includes the same new features that German and Korean users have been enjoying for a week. The update includes a number of new camera modes, including Single Take, Pro video mode (with shutter speed control), and My Filters. Other features include Quick Share and Music Share for sharing files and audio Bluetooth connections with other devices, an updated Samsung Keyboard with multilingual translation, improved AR Emoji, and auto-grouping of photos and albums in the Gallery app.

Have you received the One UI 2.1 update on your Galaxy Note 9, either in India or a different country (other than Germany or South Korea)? Let us know down in the comments!
