Samsung has rolled out a new software update for the Galaxy A50s that brings last month's security patch to the device. Available over the air in India and likely to roll out to more markets soon, the update comes with firmware version A507FNXXU4BTF7. The Galaxy A50s' June security update comes a few days after its non-‘s' cousin received an update with the newer July security patch.
The A50s is only getting improved security with the latest update, according to the changelog. However, there may be a few bug fixes and general improvements included as well, going by the build number. The previous update for the Galaxy A50s brought the screen recorder feature, and while there is no official confirmation, there's a good chance the A50s — and the A50 — will be updated to One UI 2.1 at some point and receive even more new features in the process.
You will receive a notification once the update is available for your phone, but you can also try manually triggering it from the Settings » Software update menu using the Download and install option. The latest firmware for the A50s is also available in our firmware archive and can be used for upgrading the device using a Windows computer.
