Korean Media DDaily claims that the next-gen Galaxy S device, the Galaxy S IV, will support Wireless Charging. Samsung will allegedly be making a back cover with Wireless Charging support and its charging dock for the Galaxy S IV, both modules will be sold separately.
DDaily also reported that Samsung considered using an alternative, more advanced wireless charging technology known as resonant magnetic coupling. That, in theory, would allow the Samsung Galaxy S IV to be charged from a distance of up to 2 meters. In simple words, you wouldn't have to put the Galaxy S IV on top of a Wireless Charging dock. Samsung eventually gave up on this alternative method as it was too difficult to bring to market at a low-cost.
The Galaxy S IV is rumoured to feature an Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) CPU, Mali-T658 (8-Core) GPU, 4.99″ SuperAMOLED Full HD Resolution Display, 2GB of RAM, 13 Megapixel Rear facing Camera capable of shooting 1080p Full HD Videos at 30FPS, 2 Megapixel front facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD Videos and run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
