Samsung briefly unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 2 at Galaxy Unpacked 2020 earlier this month but it saved most of the details for later. The company said at Galaxy Unpacked that it will host a separate event specifically for its new foldable phone on September 1. Now the company has announced Unpacked Part 2 where the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be detailed in all its glory.
Unpacked Part 2 will be a virtual event, same as Galaxy Unpacked 2020. It will begin on September 1 at 10 AM ET and the company confirmed it will explore in depth the groundbreaking features of the Galaxy Z Fold 2. If the event will be anything like Galaxy Unpacked 2020, we might also get some interesting inside stories about the foldable phone's development and the thought process that went behind creating the sequel.
In other words, we're hoping that Samsung still has some interesting stories and technical details to share with fans even though several early hands-on videos featuring the Galaxy Z Fold 2 have already been published by third-parties. So far, the foldable phone-cum-tablet was featured in early videos on YouTube and TikTok of all places. We got to see Flex Mode in action along with numerous other features.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is planed to become available for pre-order on the same date, September 1. The company is also expected to reveal more details about the Galaxy Z Fold 2 Thom Browne Edition, its price, and availability. Unpacked Part 2 should be livestreamed on YouTube and we will update this story to include the link once we have it. Will you be joining us on September 1?
