The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra are among the world's best smartphone cameras. However, Samsung is still consistently improving the camera quality and adding more features to the Galaxy S21 series. Earlier today, the company rolled out a major new software update to the Galaxy S21 to improve its camera.

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in India. The new software, which bears firmware version G99xxXXU2AUC8, has a download size of over 1GB. Hence, we recommend using a Wi-Fi network to download the update. The new software brings camera and performance improvements along with the April 2021 security patch.

The company had earlier restricted the Portrait mode on its flagships to use either the telephoto camera or the ultrawide camera. With the new update, the Galaxy S21 series can now use the regular camera to capture portraits. There might be other camera performance improvements, but we haven't noticed anything too different yet.

If you are a Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or a Galaxy S21 Ultra user, you might have already received a notification for the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install on your smartphone. If you notice any improvement or a new camera feature after updating your phone, let us know in the comments section below.
