Samsung's Galaxy A lineup is very robust. It includes premium mid-range devices like the Galaxy A72 and solid mid-rangers like the Galaxy A32. Several handsets in this range are now equipped with 5G connectivity as well.
The lineup also includes budget phones. Samsung has been working on a new device that will further expand the budget options. The Galaxy A03s is the new budget phone and it's now one step closer to hitting the market.
Galaxy A03s will hit the market soon
We first heard about the Galaxy A03s in May. This device is the successor to the Galaxy A02s that was released last year. It's a fairly basic device, as you'd expect. The device is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch display with a triple camera setup at the back. The major upgrades over the Galaxy A02s include a USB Type-C port and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
No further details are available at this point in time. It remains unclear what processor this device will have and how much RAM and storage will be available. The Galaxy A02s uses the Snapdragon 450 so it remains to be seen if Samsung will stick to a Snapdragon chip for its successor. The battery capacity is also not known.
The Galaxy A03s has now picked up its Bluetooth certification. This is usually taken as an indication of an impending launch. Obtaining the mandatory Bluetooth certification means that a regulatory hurdle has been cleared and the device can hit the market soon.
There obviously won't be much fanfare for this device's launch. Expect it to just become available in the coming weeks. We'll let you know what that happens.
