We've heard so much about the Galaxy S21 FE in recent weeks that it's a wonder the phone hasn't gone official yet. We heard from our sources a few months back that the Galaxy S21 FE's launch may not be possible before the fourth quarter of this year, but recent leaks — including one of ours in which we published the phone's user manual — suggest that the S21 FE could be announced as soon as this month.
Wake us up when September October ends
However, the folks over at Front Page Tech are saying otherwise – the Galaxy S21 FE will reportedly go up for pre-order on October 20, while sales will start on October 29th. If those dates are accurate, there's at least another two months to go before the sequel to last year's megahit Galaxy S20 FE makes its debut. That would put it dangerously close to the launch of the Galaxy S22 series, which may end up being a bad move, as we've previously opined.
As usual, there's no way to be completely sure what's true and what isn't. There have even been rumors the Galaxy S21 FE could be cancelled, but recent developments, like the phone's name getting put up in stores, suggest otherwise. And, frankly, we can't imagine Samsung entertaining the thought of cancelling what could be its most important phone for 2021. The launch timing may not be ideal, but with an aggressive price tag, the Galaxy S21 FE could beat every other Galaxy flagship this year when it comes to sales figures.
