Over the past couple of weeks, Samsung has released the September 2021 security update to various high-end and mid-range Galaxy smartphones. The company has now released its latest security patch to the Galaxy Note 10 series as well, and the update has started rolling out in Samsung's home market.

The Galaxy Note 10 5G and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G have started getting a new update in South Korea. It has firmware version N971NKSU2FUH7, and it includes the September 2021 security patch. Samsung is yet to reveal the vulnerabilities it has fixed with the September security patch, but we expect that information to be published over the next couple of weeks. The new update could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Note 10 5G or Galaxy Note 10+ 5G user in South Korea, you might have already received a notification of the update. If you haven't received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 10 series two years ago with Android 9 Pie-based One UI onboard. The devices in the lineup received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in late 2019 and the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in late 2020.
