Samsung has participated in Union Art Fair 2022 and used The Frame TV to showcase digital artwork at the exhibition, the company announced in a press release today. Union Art Fair is an art trading platform in South Korea, and this year’s art exhibition celebrates the platform’s seventh anniversary.
Union Art Fair 2022 was held at Seoul Auction Center in Gangnam-Gu, Seoul. A total of 50 artists participated in it, with 350 artworks on display. There were also digital artworks on showcase, and the ones from Hyunwoo Kim, Yona Jeong, Hyunseon Cho, and Bori Heo were displayed on Samsung The Frame TV.
The Frame TV has a design that resembles a photo frame, thanks to its matte finish display, a wall mount that puts it right against the wall, and a customizable bezel. All of this makes it great for displaying artwork. Union Art Fair 2022 was a perfect occasion for the company to show the capabilities of the TV.
Samsung launched The Frame in 2017, and currently, it is available in multiple sizes, ranging from 43 inches to 75 inches. Unfortunately, the company downgraded the refresh rate of the TV for some models from 120Hz to 60Hz this year. We hope that the brand brings back the 120Hz refresh rate in the next version of the TV.
