While many Samsung smartphones and tablets are getting the December 2022 security patch, the Galaxy Tab Active Pro (SM-T540) has just started getting last month’s security patch.
The new update for the tablet comes with firmware version T540XXS3CVL2 and brings November 2022 security patch, which fixes 46 security vulnerabilities. The update is currently rolling out in Switzerland, but other regions should also get it very soon.
To check for the update, head over to Settings » Software update and click on Download and install. However, the tablet should automatically notify you even if you don't manually check right now. If you don’t see the update even after checking for it manually, you can download the firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually using Samsung's Odin tool.
The Galaxy Tab Active Pro was launched in 2019, and it is one of the five rugged tablets that Samsung has launched so far. At the time of launch, the tablet shipped with Android 9.0, and since the tablet was supposed to get two major versions of the OS, Android 11 was its last major update.
Since the Galaxy Tab Active Pro is listed in Samsung's quarterly security update schedule, it should get the next security update in Q1 2023.
