Galaxy A11 and Galaxy A12 get the September 2021 security update

Earlier today, Samsung rolled out the September 2021 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy A32. The company has now released the security update to the Galaxy A11 and the Galaxy A12 in a few markets.

The Galaxy A11 has started getting a new software update with firmware version A115MUBS2BUI1 in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, and Peru. The Galaxy A12 is getting a new update with firmware version A125FXXU1BUI3 in Russia and Ukraine. These new updates bring the September 2021 security patch to the Galaxy A11 and the Galaxy A12 to fix more than 50 vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy A11 user in South America or a Galaxy A12 user in Russia or Ukraine, you can check for the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for your smartphone from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy A11 was launched in mid-2020, and it ran Android 10 out of the box. It received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update a few months ago. The Galaxy A12 was launched in late 2020 with Android 10 on board, and it received the Android 11 update in May 2021.
