As a part of its CES 2023 announcement, Samsung has unveiled a new generation of its QD-OLED TVs. These new models claim to offer higher brightness, improved colors, and a sleeker design. The South Korean firm claims that its new QD-OLED TVs offer the best picture quality when viewed from any angle.

The 2022 version of Samsung's QD-OLED TV, the S95B, was available in just 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. In 2023, the company will offer its new 4K QD-OLED TVs in four sizes: 49-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch. Thanks to Samsung Display's new QD-OLED panel, featuring the newer OLED HyperEfficient EL material (applied to the blue light emitting layer) and IntelliSense AI, the new TVs can reach a peak brightness of up to a whopping 2,000 nits, matching Mini-LED TVs and the latest OLED TVs from LG. Samsung says that the new material improves the brightness of each color in RGB.

The company is also using AI and Big Data to collect picture information of each pixel in real time. That data is used to precisely control light, resulting in improved image quality and energy efficiency. Samsung's new QD-OLED TVs are up to 25% more power efficient than the 2022 models. They offer improved image quality in dark and bright scenes. We expect the TVs, as usual, to use Samsung's Tizen OS with various features, including SmartThings, Samsung Health, Bixby, Alexa, AirPlay 2, HDR10+, Tap View, Tap Sound, and more.

While the company hasn't announced the model numbers, pricing, and availability of its new QD-OLED TVs, we expect them to release that information in the next few days. The TVs could launch in the coming months in Europe, North America, and South Korea.
