While some cloud game streaming services like Google Stadia have packed up their business, cloud game streaming continues to evolve, thanks to players such as Nvidia. In line with this, Nvidia has launched a new feature for its GeForce Now cloud-gaming service that supports ultrawide monitors, including the absolute beasts from Samsung.

The new feature will begin rolling out shortly. Nvidia hasn't specified which types of ultrawide monitors are supported. However, as per the official announcement, the update will bring support for the popular 21:9 aspect ratio, and the support goes up to 3840×1600. This also includes other popular display resolutions such as 3440 x 1440 pixels and 2560 x 1080 pixels.

As interesting and exciting as this sounds, there is a caveat, though. For the time being, Nvidia GeForce Now ultrawide monitor support will be limited to Ultimate subscription users. Also, Nvidia confirmed 9To5Google that this feature wouldn't be made available to free or Priority subscribers during the hands-on demo.

According to Nvidia, support for ultrawide monitors was one of the most requested features by its users, and it will soon roll out to them. Also, Nvidia GeForce is now the only streaming service to support ultrawide monitors, and none of the other cloud game streaming services, including Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Amazon Luna, and Google Stadia, support ultrawide monitors.

Samsung has a wide range of ultrawide gaming monitors. And with Samsung Gaming Hub on board, you get access to several cloud-based gaming platforms, including Amazon Luna, Microsoft Xbox Cloud, and Nvidia GeForce Now, right on your Samsung ultrawide gaming monitors.
