Once again, Samsung has become the first Android OEM to release a new Android security patch. The company has released the November 2021 security update to the Galaxy S21 series even before the month of November arrived.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with firmware version G99xBXXS3AUJ7. The update is currently rolling out in Germany, but we expect more European markets to get access to it over the next few days. Asian, African, North American, and Latin American markets could get the update by the first half of next month.
We don't have an official changelog for the update yet, but we expect it to fix various data security and user privacy-related vulnerabilities. It could also include device stability improvements and general bug fixes.
If you are a Galaxy S22 series smartphone user in Germany, you can check for the latest OTA update by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung has already released three beta versions of Android 12-based One UI 4.0 to the Galaxy S21 series in a few markets, and the stable version could make it to the smartphones before the end of this year.
