The Galaxy A5x series is an important one for Samsung. It's usually one of the best-selling mid-range smartphones from the company. Samsung now has the Galaxy A53 in the pipeline. This device will take the baton from the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52s.
There's a lot that Samsung is going to change on the device. However, the battery upgrade that's planned for the Galaxy A53 is certainly going to make a lot of Samsung fans happy. Who doesn't like a bigger battery?
Galaxy A53 is getting a bigger battery than the Galaxy A52
GalaxyClub has uncovered information that the Galaxy A53 will feature a battery bearing part number EB-BA536ABY. This battery has a 5,000mAh capacity. Some of you will remember that the Galaxy A52 has a 4,500mah battery.
Samsung is no stranger to putting 5,000mAh batteries inside mid-range smartphones. Some of its Galaxy M series devices have it as well. However, the popular Galaxy A5x series hasn't crossed that threshold yet. So it's good to see that Samsung is finally bumping it up.
The bigger battery coupled with the efficiency gains from the new processor should make the battery life on the Galaxy A53 much better compared to its predecessor. However, we'll only be able to know that for sure once we have the device in for review.
It's unclear right now which chipset Samsung might use for the Galaxy A53. Some rumors suggest that there's a new mid-range Exynos chipset with AMD graphics in the works. That chipset might be used for the Galaxy A53 but there's no confirmation on that just yet.
Expect Samsung to unveil its new Galaxy A series early next year.
