As we have entered a new month, Google is back with another Play System Update. The Google Play System Update ensure that Android devices (including Samsung's Galaxy lineup) are updated with new features and tweaks every month, so they do not require a separate update from the smartphone maker. They bring improvements to the Play Store and Play Services, which are announced via monthly patch notes.
The February 2023 Google Play System Update improves Nearby Share notifications. Now, with the February Play System Update, users can pin the Nearby Share notifications to the screen when they pop up. This could come in handy when the user frequently shares files with the same devices.
Also, the latest update brings new developer features for Google and third-party app developers. This will help support machine learning and AI-related developer services in their apps. The update adds new features to improve the discovery of apps and games, optimize the Play Store for faster and more reliable downloads and installations (a good improvement in our view), enhance features for Play Protect, provide multiple bug fixes, and more.
The option to pin Nearby Share notifications and developer features to support machine learning and AI will be arriving through Google Play Services v04.23. In contrast, all the other features will be pushed via Google Play Store v34.3, which was released on February 1. The new February 2023 Google Play System Update is currently in the rollout process and should reach your Galaxy phones and tablets soon.
