After releasing the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 last week, Samsung released the update to the unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US yesterday. Now, the company has released the One UI 5.1 update to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the US.
The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4's US carrier-locked version bumps the phone's firmware up to F936USQU1CWAC. The update also includes the February 2023 security patch that fixes over four dozen privacy and security vulnerabilities. Currently, the update is available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks in the US, and other carriers are expected to release the update soon.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 4 user in the US with a carrier-locked model, you can install the One UI 5.1 update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Remember, not all carriers will release the update on the same day, so some Galaxy Z Fold 4 users will get the update after a few days.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 debuted with Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1 onboard. Samsung released the One UI 5.0 update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 towards the end of 2022 and has promised to release three more Android OS updates in the future.
