Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Buds 2, its latest non-Pro Galaxy Buds series wireless earbuds. The new update brings improved stability and reliability to the wireless earbuds, and you can install the new update once they're connected to your Android smartphone or tablet.
The new Galaxy Buds 2 update comes with firmware version R177XXUOAWB1, with a download size of around 3.01MB. Since this is a minor update, you can download the new firmware even on the go using a mobile network. Moreover, it only brings bug fixes and stability improvements, so don't expect the recent update to introduce new features.
The Galaxy Buds 2 is getting the new update worldwide, so if you have a Galaxy Buds 2, you can install its new update right away. You can do that by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your Android smartphone or tablet, navigating to Earbuds settings » Earbuds software update, and tapping Download and install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds 2 over two years ago, and its successor hasn't been released yet. So, the company may release the Galaxy Buds 3 sometime later this year.
