Use Telegram’s new power saving mode on your Galaxy phone

A new Telegram update is inbound for Galaxy and other Android phones. It brings a plethora of new features, including the power-saving mode. Using the power saving mode, which can be found inside Settings » Power Saving, users can limit features such as autoplay of GIFs, videos, and animated stickers. So, if your phone's battery drops below a certain percentage, you can disable these features individually or all of them.

Telegram is also adding enhanced media playback controls. Now, you can tap and hold the 2x button to choose granular media speed controls between 0.25x and 2.5x. Read receipts in a group of under 100 members now display the time when your messages were read by other group members.

Telegram is also giving its users better control over who is allowed to add them to groups with the latest update. There are other changes, such as the recently used sticker packs will move up your panel for better access, bot developers can add descriptions and the uses of the bot in multiple languages, some new animated emojis, and a new set of interactive emojis and reactions.

The new Telegram update is available to download on Android from the Google Play Store.
